Foundation
Suitable Age: 4-5
Course Description:
Foundation course is designed for children who have progressed from Nursery Class or are not previously familiar to the Chinese language. Young children will learn basic Pinyin (symbols for Chinese pronunciation), daily conversation and start to recognise simple Chinese characters. Children will learn from pictures, flashcards, Chinese children songs and lots of different media. By the completion of this course, children will be able to introduce themselves on name, age, favourite food and hobbies.

Year 1
Suitable Age: 5-6
Course Description:
Year 1 course is designed for children who have progressed from Foundation Class or are not previously familiar to the Chinese language. Children will continue to develop their language skills and experience of Chinese culture. Students will learn Pinyin, basic vocabulary, phrases and dialogues with characters and situations relevant to their daily lives. Students will also be introduced the concept of radicals and the components of Chinese characters.

Year 2
Suitable Age: 6-7
Course Description:
Year 2 course is designed for children who have progressed from Year 1 or have the basic communication skills in Chinese. Students will learn basic vocabulary, phrases and dialogue with characters and situations relevant to their daily lives, furthermore they will start to type Chinese with a computer and write Chinese characters. Students will learn Chinese with ICT technology.

Year 3
Suitable Age: 7-8
Course Description:
Year 3 course is designed for children who have progressed from Year 2 or have the basic communication and writing skills in Chinese. Children will expand their knowledge of frequently used Chinese characters, phrases and basic sentences. They will practice all the skills - listening, speaking and reading, typing and writing. Students will learn Chinese with ICT technology.

Year 4
Suitable Age: 8-10
Course Description:
Year 4 course is designed for children who have progressed from Year 3 or passed the tutor assessment. This course is suitable for students in Upper Primary or Lower Secondary School. Children’s vocabulary and sentence patterns will be expanded. Students will learn Chinese with ICT technology. By the end of Year 4, they should be able to write short sentences and a simple letter, as well as learning to write a total of 100 characters and recognise 240 characters and phrases.

Year 5
Suitable Age: 10-11
Course Description:
Year 5 course is designed for students who have progressed from Year 4 or passed the tutor assessment. Student will build on and expand their previous skills and vocabulary learned in Year 4. Students will learn Chinese with ICT technology. By the end of Year 5, they should be able to write a short paragraph, as well as learning to write a total of 150 characters and recognise 360 characters and phrases.

Year 7
Suitable Age: 10-13
Course Description:
Year 7 course is designed for students who has possessed basic communication skills under a range of topics. In Year 7 Class, students will learn the comprehensive Chinese skills in an intermediate level. Students will learn Chinese with ICT technology. By the end of course, the students should be able to write short paragraphs, simple letters and keep a diary.
